A large collection of declassified documents relating to Five Eyes intelligence sharing in the postwar era, with a focus on the emergence and evolution of the agreements which underpin the alliance.
This archive brings together documents relating to the emergence and evolution of a series of bilateral and multilateral agreements – first the BRUSA Agreement and later the UKUSA Agreement – which together have underpinned the enduring and expansive Five Eyes intelligence sharing partnership (involving agencies from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand). It includes documents proactively released by intelligence agencies in the UK, the US, and Australia, as well as records disclosed following a freedom of information challenge by our partner Privacy International.
